How to Save Money on Clothing

_________________________________________________________________________________

As we watch retail clothing prices always seeming to spiral upward, many of us are trying to learn how to save money on clothing. It is easy to go shopping at local mall with a credit card and spend a small fortune only afterwards to realize the consequences of your terrible money spending habits. First and foremost when you first learn how to save money on clothing, you will understand that your shopping will often be easier, you will spend less money, and you'll feel better about your financial responsibility when you see how much money you have saved.

1. Always try to purchase your clothes on discount coupon sites. One of my favourite sites is Big Crumbs. What these types of sites do is they are referral sites that are paid commissions on your reference. Then they simply kick back to you most of the commissions from the sale back to you! Basically a simple way to say it, you'll often get between 5-15% off of your clothing purchases. Signing up for Big Crumbs is free and I find it to be a complete blessing to know that I can use this on top of any other sale or coupon any store has to offer. Big Crumbs has almost every major store or retailer (not just clothing) as members. You simply log in, type in the store name, click the store logo, and you'll have the instant discount. This is just simply an amazing way to save money on clothing.

2. Use coupon codes. Coupon codes are available at many web sites that specialize in online retail savings. All you simply have to do is type in a store retailers name followed by the term “coupon code” in your favourite search engine. This will usually pull up many sites that offer coupon codes for the store you want. Often this will include free shipping, all the way up to certain dollar amounts and percentages off. Use the coupon codes in conjunction with step 1!

3. If you are a frequent customer to stores, always sign up and get their “reward cards”. Often they will send you coupons in the mail that will have certain dollar values off your next purchase including a code if you shop online. You can use these benefits along with steps 1 and 2 to get real bargains on clothing.

4. If you want to learn how to save money on clothing in stores rather than online, you'll have to always be prepared to do serious bargain shopping. Always try to purchase your clothing off season and on clearance racks. This actually takes more discipline than most people think, but if you stick with it or even mark it on a calendar, you'll find and immense amount of money savings on clothing.

5. Use every resource that you an possibly think of to get percentages off your clothing purchases. Some people even buy with cash back credit cards (and pay them off every month) so they can save an additional 2-3% on all their purchases. Use coupons, discounts, clearance sales, Big Crumbs, or any other resource that you can think of on how to save money on clothing. Using every savings technique you can think of will help you feel better about your clothing purchases.
