How to Stop Having Your Wages Garnished
_________________________________________________________________________________

Many people undergo wage garnishment over consumer debt spending habits that they could not repay. They use their credit cards and did not realize how terrible the interest rate would truly add up on them. The next thing they knew, they could not repay their credit card debt or consumer debt and winded up in court with a judge allowing a creditor to garnish their wages. I will teach you how to stop wage garnishment that will save money. This article is not for child support or criminal restitution.

1. Get a job in and move to one of the following states - North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina or Texas. These are debt friendly states that do not allow wage garnishment. Even this may seem to be a drastic step, many people who are heavily in debt will find it valuable. If moving will save you a lot of money, do it!

2. Do not forward your mailing address. There is no reason to let creditors know of where you live if you are trying to escape their wage garnishment. It is completely legal for you to avoid creditors wanting to garnish your wages in these states.

3. If the creditors learn of your new address in any one of these excellent and debt friendly states, write them a letter saying that you no longer want contact with them, and that you live in a no wage garnishment state. Tell them this in writing, not over the phone.
