A Guide to Saving a Lifetime of Interest Payments and Saving a Ton of Money
If you are a young person ready to go out into the world, or would like to start saving money on a lifetime of interest, you can start by following this advice. Perhaps college is on your horizon, or you are beginning your working career. Whatever card life is dealing you right now, I'm going to give you some financial advice that can inevitably make you financially secure for your entire life. This isn't about getting rich, but it is perhaps one of the most practical thing that our parents and schools most likely never taught us. We've had many talks about financial responsibility, and our schools sure made us understand what loans are and how to fill out our tax forms, but in all this we were never taught in many cases the most fundamental core things you need to know about money. So today, my advice for you is this to stuff your pride so you will not be a victim of it. Do and live wherever way it takes for a short time in order to save enough money to buy a real house with 100% cash down. If it means you have to buy a $5,000 run down trailer house for a few years while you save up then do it! If you choose to keep your pride, you'll pay 3 times for what you have back to the bank. Do the same for every car you buy. If that means you have to buy a smaller and older car that gets good gas mileage with cash - rather than a shiny new one loaded in debt, interest, and depreciation the do it!. Suck up your pride and only pay for what you can afford. Believe me from the ages from 18 to 25 are very critical to not accumulate debt. You can save enough money in those years if you live a very low profile life to begin a lifetime of paying cash. Use other techniques in this website (frugal articles) to begin saving as much money as possible. Consider how to save money on things like your electric bill and on food. Learn skills such as cooking and do not settle for fast food or going out to eat. Learn to make your own cleaners. Learn to "hypermile" while driving to save money on gas and increase your MPG. Learn to wear practical and moderate clothing. It was only kids you knew in high school that would care about brand names that their parents bought them. This mindset plagues people into their adulthood with peer pressure to adhere to the social class that they live in. A simple small older Toyota Corolla gets way better gas mileage than a Lexus, costs 1/50th of the cost, and you won't pay interest. No, not so many people will admire your "financial success", but who really cares what people think anyway? Keep things simple. Suck up your pride, and stop worrying about what people think of you. You define yourself by your character, not by what you have. Do not let the monstrous banks get a hold of you. Be frugal in everything you do. Living simple and downsizing has a lot of rewards. Following these tips and saving money will keep you financially secure for your lifetime. Why put so much effort and years of work into life just to give two thirds of it back to the bank & taxes?
