_________________________________________________________________________________

There are many reasons that people would want to live off a single income. In today's world however, it is difficult for many people to do this because of financial and money expenses. I will teach you some simple and great tips on how you can save a lot of money and most likely be able to live off of one income. Remember, a penny saved is a penny earned, and when it comes to financial choices on one income, you have to watch everything.

1. Learn to save money on electricity. Line dry your clothes, use CFL light bulbs, water on demand heaters, and energy star appliances. Shut off all adapters and electronics from the wall, and only heat and cool the rooms you are in.

2. Learn to save money on food. This means home cooking as much as possible. If you can, buy a stand mixer and make homemade bread for .10 cents a loaf rather than $1.89 a loaf. Make as much food from scratch as you possibly can. It is more nutritious anyway and will save you a fortune. Living on a single income will almost always require a person to know how to cook at home.

3. Learn to save money on transportation. If you can get by with only 1 vehicle do it! You will save the extra gas, payments, insurance costs, and maintenance costs. Living off a single income will require steps to improve your miles per gallon as well.

4. Save money on many other necessary things. Toilet paper for instance can be bought on industrial rolls. Soap, buy in quantity. Laundry detergent can be home made for the cost of .01 a load. Research frugal websites and learn how to save on everything.

5. Buy clothing off season & on sale. Buy larger sizes that the children will grow into the next year.

6. Do not hold any debt. If you must, be sure it is your mortgage. Many people pay over $100 a month plus just on interest for a car they really should not be affording anyway.
